In honor of Shark Week, which runs from 7/28 – 8/4 this week on Discovery Channel, we thought we’d share some of the best restaurants in Martha’s Vineyard – the beautiful Massachusetts island where the 1975 classic, Jaws, was filmed. Located just a short ferry ride from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard includes all of the beaches and restaurants you need for a beautiful summer getaway.  Here are a few restaurants to try the next time you’re visiting Martha’s Vineyard.

Sharky’s Cantina

With a name like that, Sharky’s Cantina had to make our Shark Week list! Sharky’s Cantina has two locations, with one in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Enjoy Mexican food, drinks, and fun for the whole family at this casual Martha’s Vineyard tavern.

Chesca’s Restaurant

Chesca’s Restaurant is a top-notch Italian-American restaurant in Edgartown. Have a drink on Chesca’s front porch, which overlooks downtown Edgartown, a famous village of Martha’s Vineyard, or enjoy fine dining, whether you’re in the mood for seafood, steak, or gourmet pasta.

L’Etoile Restaurant

Located just a block away from Chesca’s is L’Etoile Restaurant, a classy French-inspired restaurant, and wine/cocktail bar. L’Etoile serves everything from fresh shellfish and seafood, fresh game birds, lamb, and other meats; with produce and herbs from local farms.

Lookout Tavern

Dinner with a view! Lookout Tavern is an open, waterfront pub right along the Oak Bluffs shoreline. This casual seaside restaurant offers seafood dishes, burgers, cocktails, a raw bar, and more.

19 Raw Oyster Bar

19 Raw Oyster Bar is a fantastic seafood restaurant located right off of Main Street in downtown Edgartown. This restaurant is known for its outstanding and wide selection of oysters, cocktails, fresh salads, and hearty filets.
