GroundLink Remains a Top Airport Pickup Provider Amid LAX and Other Major Airport Changes

Starting on Tuesday, October 29th at 3 am, taxi drivers and rideshare companies will be banned from picking up passengers outside LAX Airport terminals. Instead, rideshare passengers will be forced to ride shuttle buses to a nearby rideshare parking lot, where they will wait for their car.

The good news is GroundLink is one of the few professional ground transportation providers who will still provide curbside pickup at LAX Airport.

Passengers who have booked LAX curbside pickup with GroundLink in the past would typically get picked up at the Lower Level Inner Curb outside of their terminal.

Beginning on Tuesday, 10/29, GroundLink passengers will be picked up at the Lower Level Outer Commercial Island, which is simply one crosswalk over from the original curbside location.

Here are LAX Airport’s new, official instructions for LAX curbside pickup for black car service providers, which will go into effect on Tuesday, 10/29:

TCP and Privately Owned Vehicles

Lower/Arrivals level passenger drop-off/pickup relocate to the outer island curb. Inner lane access is prohibited. Zones will be identified by overhead signage and white painted curbs. Passenger drop-off is still available on the Upper/Departure level.

New LAX Airport Pickup Instructions from GroundLink!

LAX Terminals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (Domestic Terminals):

Inside Pickup: Driver will meet you at the baggage claim area of your arriving terminal with a namesign. If you cannot locate your driver, please call us. +1-212-253-8000.

Curbside Pickup: Once curbside, please call your driver with the number and letter located on the closest support pillar. The driver will pick you up at the outer island curb.

LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal:

Inside Pickup: Driver will be waiting for you at the customs area exit with a namesign. If you cannot locate your driver, please call us. +1-212-253-8000.

Curbside Pickup: Once curbside, please call your driver with the number and letter located on the closest support pillar. The driver will pick you up at the outer island curb.

Again, LAX airport pickup changes officially go into effect on Tuesday, October 29th, at 3 am.
