GroundLink’s Liz Carisone Is a Stevie Award Finalist!

Congratulations to our CEO Liz Carisone, who was just named a finalist in the 15th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business! Liz will ultimately be a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the Female Executive of the Year—Consumer Services—11 to 2,500 Employees category.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide. Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in New York on Friday, November 16.

The Stevie Awards are honoring Liz for her amazing accomplishments over the past year:

  • Liz oversaw the development and release of BRIO, GroundLink’s state-of-the-art travel management app, in July 2017. BRIO became an invaluable tool for business travelers and travel managers. No other app-based travel company has developed such a powerful program.
  • Liz also led GroundLink as its on-demand service, Ride Now, expanded to more major locations nationwide. Already available in New York, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Chicago, and Houston, Ride Now is now available in New Jersey and Boston with more locations coming soon.
  • Under Liz’s leadership, GroundLink has made tremendous strides in its global reach and performance. Since mid-2017, overall mobile growth on iOS and Android has gone up 25%. GroundLink is now available in 460 markets worldwide, up 15% from last year.
  • As a woman CEO, Liz is closely attuned to the issues facing women today in the workplace as well as issues of security in their travel.  She has made following strict duty of care principles the highest priority for GroundLink. In this era of #MeToo, ridesharing apps have received increased scrutiny due to their inability to protect women passengers from drivers with criminal intent. GroundLink is proud that women make up nearly 55% of our passengers, a number that continues to grow from year to year.

Finalists were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on five juries.  Their scores will also determine the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award placements that will be revealed at the 15th annual awards dinner and presentations in New York.

We are so proud of Liz and are delighted to see her recognized for her tremendous achievements!
