To reserve a GroundLink car, we require that a valid credit or debit card number be provided at time of your booking. We first authorize your card for the estimated cost of your ride. This is not a “true” charge and usually shows up in the pending charges section of your credit card.
Once your ride is completed, the credit or debit card you provided will be charged for the actual costs incurred for the ride. A final invoice will be emailed to you within 48 hours of your completed ride.
You understand, accept, and agree to pay us any and all fees and/or penalties associated with the submission of any payment transaction including those returned by any bank or depository financial institution for insufficient funds or any other error on your part.
As a precautionary measure to cover ancillary fees (Stops, Wait Time, etc.) we will place a hold of 1.3x the base fare on the credit card upon booking of a reservation which will be released upon the completion of the ride.
Tips for identifying unknown credit card charges.
Important: Don’t send your credit card number via e-mail, as this isn’t a secure transmission method.
If you don’t recognize a charge, consider the following common scenarios:
An order placed by a child, spouse, friend, relative, or co-worker with access to your card number.
Additional cards associated with the credit or debit account.
Previously placed orders for advanced reservations.
Previously placed reservations for someone else.
Recently canceled or changed reservations. Some banks show authorizations as charges or pending charges.
If the charge is not explained by any of these situations, please e-mail (or have your issuing bank e-mail the following information to us at [email protected]:
